Packing is the job most people underestimate – and the job that turns moving day from “fine” into “stressful.” Our job is either to take it off your plate entirely, share it with you, or supply the materials so you can do it at your own pace. Export-grade materials when the move needs them. Boxes delivered ahead of move day. Fully insured professional packers.

What a great packing service really looks like

Every JR packing job starts with a survey or video assessment – we need to size the pack: how many rooms, how much fragile content, whether the move is local or international. The quote that follows is a fixed price, broken down by tier so you can pick the level of service you want.
Materials get delivered ahead of move day – boxes, paper, tape, archive cartons, fragile-wrap, mattress covers, wardrobe boxes. If you’re on the materials-only tier, that’s where our involvement ends until move day. If you’re on full or part pack, the crew arrives a day or two before move day and gets to work – fragile items wrapped properly, glassware and crockery sequenced, antiques and specialist items handled with care, every box labelled by room.
On move day everything’s ready for the lorry. Loading is faster, the move runs smoother, and unpacking at the other end is straightforward because the labelling is consistent. Optional unpacking service at the new address – kitchen put back together, beds re-built, the works.

why customers ask us to pack for their moves

Fragile damage. That’s what goes wrong on DIY-packed moves. Wine glasses bundled in a tea towel and shoved in a kitchen box. A picture frame wrapped in a bath sheet. The packing matters more than the move – once it’s wrapped well, the lorry can drive 500 miles over potholes and nothing breaks. Wrapped badly, even a careful 3-mile drive can shatter a tea set.
Export-grade materials are standard on international packs and available on UK packs on request – the stronger boxes, proper paper, fragile-wrap rated for longer journeys, tape that holds in a hot lorry. The materials cost slightly more than the cheap option; the difference shows up at the other end when nothing’s broken.
Mixing tiers across a move is normal. Most customers want full-pack on the kitchen and the loft (the bits with the most fragile content), part-pack on the bedrooms, and materials-only for the office or wardrobe. We bill what you use. The aim is to take the right amount of work off your plate, not to talk you into the most expensive tier.

What’s included in our packing service?

Three tiers, one standard. Whether you’ve booked the full pack, the part pack, or just the materials, the kit is the same, the wrap is the same, and the people doing the work are the same. The tier changes how much of the pack we handle. The way we handle it doesn’t.

Full Pack, Part Pack, Or Just Materials

We do everything, share the job, or bring the boxes. Mix tiers across rooms if you’d like.

Export Grade Materials

The wrap and boxes that survive longer journeys and customs handling. Stronger materials, more secure wrap, less chance of damage in transit. Standard on international packs; available on UK packs on request.

Boxes Delivered Ahead Of Move Day

Materials at the property a few days before. No scrambling for boxes on move-day morning.

Fully Insured Professional Packers

The people packing are the people accountable. Trained, insured, and careful with what matters.

storage sizes, security & access

Full Pack: We do everything. The crew arrives a day or two before move day and packs every room – kitchen, bedrooms, lounge, loft, garage. Fragile and specialist items wrapped properly, labelled by room, ready for the lorry on move day. Includes export-grade materials. The right tier when you’d rather not touch the packing at all.
Part Pack: We pack the parts you’d rather not – the kitchen glassware, the antiques, the loft, the office files – and you handle the everyday stuff. Most customers go this way. The fragile-and-specialist work happens in advance; the easy work (clothes, books, bedding) you do in the run-up.
Most of our moves are local: Horsham, Crawley, Guildford, Reigate, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Dorking, Haywards Heath. Sussex, Surrey and Kent are home turf – short drives, known routes, the same crew most of your neighbours have used. Any postcode further out is fine too: we run long-distance moves → across mainland Britain regularly, and European moves → when the move calls for it.
Materials Only: We bring the boxes, paper, tape, archive cartons, fragile-wrap, mattress covers, and wardrobe boxes. You pack at your own pace. Materials delivered a few days before move day. The right tier if you’ve packed before and you’re confident, or if you’d rather spread the work over weeks.
Indicative pricing for each tier confirmed at quote – we work to a fixed-price model rather than a published rate card.

wrapped once. wrapped right.

Fragile glass, antiques, the lot – boxed and labelled by the people who’ll load the lorry. The right wrap on the way in is what makes the unpack at the new end uneventful.

What's the difference between full pack and part pack?
Full pack: we do everything.

Part pack: we do the bits you’d rather not (the fragile, the kitchen, the antiques) and you do the rest. Both end up packed, labelled, and ready for the lorry on move day.
Yes – Materials Only tier. Boxes, paper, tape, archive cartons, fragile-wrap, mattress covers, wardrobe boxes. Delivered a few days before move day. You pack at your own pace.

Honest answer: every pack is different, but the variables are clear. Tier (full pack, part pack, or materials only), size of the move, how much fragile content there is, and whether the move is local or international. The route to a real number is a quick assessment – we’ll size what you need over photos, video, or an in-person walkthrough, then send a fixed price within 24 hours, broken down by tier so you can pick the level of service that fits.
